Young Curator International Residency Programme 2008
Design Research Centre, Faculty of Art, Design, Architecture,
Kingston University, London
February 11th 2008 welcomes the arrival of Gabi Ngcobo as the first
curator in a new Design Research Centre initiative. The programme is
intended to enable the exchange of ideas around curatorial practice,
networking and project research with the staff and students in
Kingston University. The project was developed by the MA Curating
Contemporary Design with the support of Kingston Visiting Professor
Marilyn Martin, Iziko Museums, Cape Town South Africa. Gabi was
Assistant Curator at Iziko South African National Gallery before
joining the Cape Africa Platform in 2005.
