Join a talk that gives a background regarding the German raiders of the First World War and the laying of mine-fields. The S.M.S. Wolf (IV), probably the greatest raider of them all is discussed and references to her victims around Cape Town are made. A background to the City Line is given and the sinking of the S.S. City of Athens (I) is highlighted in detail, including the role of her Lascar seamen during the evacuation of the ship. Lastly, the sinking of the S.S. City of Athens (ll) is discussed.
