Public Lecture
Under the theme of Digital Museums: Digital Natural History Collections and Biodiversity themes will be explored through a series of interactive seminars at the Iziko South African Museum (ISAM).

11:00 -12:00          Steve Sherman: Talk/Show called MatheMagic
12:00 – 13:00        Simon Van Noort will discuss unlocking the wealth of museum biodiversity informatics.


Natural History Display
10:00 – 15:00  See live spiders, marine life, microfossils and insects at the ISAM Gathering Space.

Hands On Display
10:00 -15:00  Ancient Oceans – Touching the past and protecting the future showcasing modern living marine organisms and examples of their fossil relatives at the ISAM.

Art Book Sale
10: 00 – 15:00   Those interested in art can find great resources at half the price in the Atrium of the ISANG.

Special Planetarium Show:
11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00  -    Silly Solly and the Shooting Stars
Solly Snail wants to be chosen for his garden's soccer team and thinks up ways to become a speedier snail, so that he will be chosen. He decides to ask a shooting star to help him, but does his plan work and will he be chosen for his garden's soccer team? Join him on his quest and find out for yourself! Especially for children aged 5-12

Learn how to prepare fossils for display.

Unlocking the foundational Marine Biodiversity Information. This is an interactive exhibition based workshop.
