Room 7: Young democracy.
Interviews with ten 28 year-old South Africans and their self portraits conclude the exhibition. All were aged 18 in 1994. They have differing perspectives on democracy. Some are more optimistic about the future than others. Some reflect on the issues of HIV Aids and unemployment as major challenges facing ordinary people ten years after the first democratic election.
