Teachers’ taxidermy workshop
10–14 APRIL 2007

This workshop will help you develop the basic skills of taxidermy. If you are interested in pursuing taxidermy as a career or acquiring extra skills, our introductory course will help you understand the complexities of the craft and its diverse applications. By the end of the course you will be able to prepare and mount skeletons of small mammals or birds and know how to preserve small animals and soft tissue specimens in alcohol.

This is a one-week course and requires at least four hours attendance per day.

Night (treasure hunt) at the Museum
12 APRIL 2007

Ever wondered what really goes on in the Museum at night? Bring your torch and join the education team as we look for hidden treasure using special clues. Encountering the San shaman, answer the call of the whales and walk in the foot-steps of the dinosaurs. Be prepared for lots of surprises.
