Shirley Moroka
(Deputy Director of Climate Change, Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism)

Ms Kelebogile Shirley Moroka was born and grew up in Thabanchu where she matriculated at the Alfred Moroka High School. In 1989 she studied with the University of Fort Hare and completed her BSc in Chemistry then proceeded to the Medical University of Southern Africa and obtained her BSc Honours in Medical Biochemistry in 1996. She completed her Masters in Applied (Environmental Sciences) from the University of Western Sydney in the year 2000. She currently holds an MSc in Environmental Management specialising in Air Quality Management from the University of Pretoria. Ms Moroka is a Director for Atmospheric Policy Regulation & Planning which deals with regulating and developing laws, setting standards and planning for air quality management.
