African Dinosaurs is a new and exciting exhibition that opens at the Iziko South African Museum on the 29th May 2010. This exhibition is the culmination of several years of planning and development. As the title suggests, it showcases dinosaurs and their reptilian relatives that lived in Africa millions of years ago. Standard Bank Young Artist for Visual Art 2009: Nicholas Hlobo: Umtshotsho. At the Iziko South African National Gallery from 30 May 2010 to 15 August 2010
The Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Visual Art 2009 has been awarded to Nicholas Hlobo. Nicholas Hlobo presents a major new sculptural installation in his solo exhibition, Umtshotsho. On 18 May 2010 museums around the world will celebrate International Museum Day. Museums wield the potential to serve as platforms from which cultural exchange, awareness and enrichment can be facilitated in order to promote tolerance and understanding. Re-opening of Iziko Social History Library
