28 Nov - Back to Baroque at
year-end gathering
After a year of fabulous events,
Friends of SA Museum will host
a celebratory, musical "time warp". On 28 November, at 18:30 for
19:00, in the Whale Well of the Iziko SA Museum, the harmonious
sounds of Bach and Telemann will transport the audience back to
the bygone days of Baroque.
Accomplished musicians Richard Oxtoby (treble recorder), Grant
Brasler (harpsichord) Caryn Hayward (oboe), Colleen Nero (viola
da gamba) and Titia Stalling (baroque violin) will play
selections from Corelli, Jean Baptiste Leoillet, Johann
Sebastian Bach and George Philip Telemann. Wine will be served
before the concert. Entry is R40 for Friends; R50 for guests.
