22/01/2007 Walk the Tapestry - 13 Feb

The magnificent Keiskamma Tapestry, created by women of the Keiskamma Art Project and now on indefinite loan to Parliament, will be on view to guests and Friends of the Michaelis Collection on Tuesday 13
February at 12:00.

The viewing tour will be led by Rayda Becker, curator of artworks at Parliament, who will explain the meaning and metaphor of the tapestry which, at 112 metres, is both a larger-than-life feat of craftsmanship and a spectacular historical document.

Guests should meet at the Old Assembly, Houses of Parliament at the specified time, and bring along an ID document. Entry is free for Friends; R20 for guests.
