21/02/2007 Talk on "Climate change" evolves into fossil hunt 27 Feb

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Prof Bruce Hewitson will not be available to discuss "Climate Change" on 27 February at 19:00 at Iziko SA Museum. However, Friends of SA Museum are delighted to host renowned palaeontologist and lecturer, Dr Roger Smith, who discusses his experiences whilst "Fossil Hunting in Niger".

Dr Smith was part of an international team of scientists who embarked on fossil-hunting expeditions to northern Niger during which time, they discovered the remains of previously unknown reptilian and amphibian landlubbers.

The talk takes place at Iziko SA Museum at 19:00 on Tuesday 27 February. Entry is free for Friends of SA Museum; R20 for guests, including a glass of sherry. Tickets are available at the door.
