16/05/2007 Interesting artist throws open his studio door

Artist and videographer Dan Halter, winner of the 2001 Michaelis Painting Prize and currently a lecturer in videography at Michaelis School of Fine Art, will open his Commercial Street studio to guests on Saturday 26 May at 14:30. Halter, who is described as a dynamic young artist, has held solo exhibitions and one of his works has been selected for inclusion in the Gallery's permanent collection.

Hosted by Friends of SA National Gallery, the event costs R40, including refreshments, and R20 for students. The studio is situated at 25 Commercial Street, between Buitenkant and Plein Streets.
