On Sunday, 14 October at 11:00, curator Hayden Proud presents a walkabout of the ‘Why Collect?’ exhibition at the Iziko South African National Gallery. This thought-provoking exhibition raises questions about the role of a national art museum in South Africa, the responsibilities of the State, and the challenges experienced in building a national collection.
