Ace Quartet back in full swing
Good
news for those who’ve been keenly awaiting another lunchtime recital
by the popular all-female group, Ace Quartet. The next concert takes
place on Thursday, 8 November at 13:00 at the
Iziko Koopmans-De Wet House
museum in Strand Street, Cape Town.
The Ace Quartet, who comprise strings and flute, has been playing to
regular full houses and enjoys an enthusiastic following. Rather
than adhering to a set ‘menu’, the musicians select their programme
spontaneously on the day. Among their favourite choices are Mozart,
Bach and Vivaldi, and in a lighter vein, Latin music and film
soundtracks.
Entrance is R5 per person. Enquiries: Wieke at Tel. 021 464 1265 or
082 593 4497.
