11/12/2007 Lyrical sounds of Christopher Culpo

At 18:30 on Sunday, 23 December, jazz aficionados can enjoy the lyrical sounds of American composer and performer, Christopher Culpo, when he presents an evening of contemporary classics, jazz and improvisation in the elegant Hals Room of the Old Town House in Greenmarket Square.

Culpo, whose work features prominently in the performing arts, including dance and theatre, is enjoying his third musical tour of the Mother City, having recently played to enthusiastic audiences around the world.

Hosted by the Friends of the Michaelis Collection, the event costs R70 for Friends and R80 for guests, including wine and refreshments. Tickets can be bought at the door on the evening, but early booking is advised to avoid disappointment. Undercover parking is available at the nearby Mandela Rhodes Place parking garage off Burg Street.
