04/07/2008 Public lecture on slave rebellions and resistance

To commemorate the bicentenary of the first slave rebellion in 1808, Iziko Museums are hosting a talk entitled ‘Slave Rebellions and Resistance’ at the Castle of Good Hope from 14:30-16:30 on Thursday 17 July.

The two accomplished speakers who will share their knowledge and passion are Dr Dan Sleigh, historian and writer, and Gale Weldon, a senior education specialist.

The cost of the event is R20 which includes light refreshments after the talks.
