Walkabout to view forty years of
plenty
Over
the past four decades, Friends of the South African National Gallery
(FONG) have offered tangible support to the Gallery, not only by
presenting exciting works of contemporary local art but also
in contributing toward a broad and representative national
collection.
On Sunday 3 August at 11:00, Iziko art curators, Hayden Proud and
Joe Dolby, conduct a
walkabout of the Friends’ commemorative
exhibition ‘Forty years of Friendship’ which showcases a
selection of these artworks.
Hosted
by Friends, the event costs R30 for Friends and R50 for guests.
Enquiries to Lizzie on 021 467 4660/2 (Tue-Thu 10:00-14:00). The
exhibition runs until 28 September and can be viewed daily from
10:00-17:00, except Mondays.
