Celebrate Women’s Day with short film screenings and FREE entrance to Iziko Museums
Iziko Museums has a jam-packed programme for national Women’s Day and promises visitors a contemplative and reflective experience. The day long programme includes the screening of documentaries celebrating the achievements of women and also highlighting some of their struggles and challenges.
Heritage Day at Iziko Museums FREE Entry for ALL
Iziko Museums, promises to be abuzz with excitement and activity on Heritage Day, 24 September 2011. The programme observes the national heritage week theme: “Celebrating Heroes and Heroines of the Liberation Struggle in South Africa.” The celebration, jam-packed with thought provoking discussions, electrifying performances, film screenings and tours, kicks off in the Amphitheatre at the Iziko South African Museum at 10am.
