Cristina Garcia Rodero
Ten months of life, Georgia 1995. Contact
Cristina Garcia Rodero went to Georgia as she had felt that this region, with European customs and habits, was similar to Mediterranean countries, those around which she traveled with her camera. She also wanted to avoid the risk of falling in the tragic exotism of the human massacres of the end of this century. She seeks personal tragedies instead of situations where extreme violence doesn't even allow for accompanying the dead in their trip: She immerses herself in everyday rituals, those rituals of passage which still allow human beings to keep a minimum of dignity."
