Sohn constructs her images by using computer-generated
photographs of herself and superimposing these with texts. This
image of herself as a young schoolchild is superimposed with the
text "cookandcleanandshopandmakesurethatthebedismade". It
clearly alludes to the gendered socialising (or brainwashing) of
young girl children.
Sohn works with computer technologies as a medium,
attempting to challenge perceptions of this field as a purportedly macho domain.
