Its mission is to:
Reduce the spread of HIV; Provide services to improve the health and quality of life of those affected; Campaign for greater public understanding of the personal, social and medical impact of HIV & AIDS.

Network Photographers

was founded with a commitment to documenting social, political and humanitarian issues. It is the world's leading independent agency of documentary photographers, offering a combination of photographic skill, compassion and initiative.

Positive Lives

is a unique collaboration, led by volunteers, between the Terrence Higgins Trust, Network Photographers and people living with HIV. The photographs shown here represent a small part of a living archive, over 700 images from 4 continents. This continuing and growing body of work, responding to demand, has been seen by over 2 million people in a wide range of venues and formats, including galleries, hospitals, libraries, schools, department stores, prisons, public transport systems, international conferences, towns and villages.

Through the unique power of photography and personal testimonies the exhibition communicates the human story behind this terrible pandemic, to speak to the heart and our common humanity. It is a tool to educate and challenge the stigma and prejudice surrounding HIV.

It is a call to action, a cry of outrage and a testimony to loss. It asks all of us, as world citizens to take action, to place ourselves with total commitment on the side of those people and communities affected by HIV, those who have faced this tragedy with such courage, compassion and creativity.
