Goodman Gallery: WILLIAM KENTRIDGE (REPEAT) from the
beginning Opening Thursday 11 December at 6:00pm at the Goodman
Gallery Exhibition closes Saturday 17 January 2009 . In his first
solo exhibition in Cape Town since his celebrated retrospective at
Iziko South African National Gallery in 2002, William Kentridge
shows a new body of projections, sculptures, drawings and prints at
Goodman Gallery Cape.

two papermaking workshops for December where participants will learn
basic papermaking techniques using recycled materials.

Learning to love art - despite disabilities

To mark International Day of the Disabled on 3 December,
Sandra Eastwood, who has long helped unleash the artistic potential in
those with various challenges, will facilitate a MAP (Meaningful
Access Programme) Shared Insights workshop with teenagers of varied
visual abilities.

Kids and Cameras – An integral part
of Month of Photography

An important component of the Month of Photography event – and
one that should not be overlooked - are the children’s photography
exhibitions on view at the Iziko South African National Gallery
Annexe until 1 November. All work on show is the result of
children’s workshops initiated by Cape Africa Platform, Iziko
Education and Public Programmes, MoP4, the Greyton Historical
Association and ‘Word of Art’.

galleries with Lloyd Pollak

Book early for an armchair tour of some of the the world’s great
galleries, in the company of accomplished art historian and
lecturer, Lloyd Pollak. Hosted by the Friends of the South African
National Gallery, the ‘tour’ takes the form of a 4-part lecture
series on 15 and 29 October, and 12 and 26 November at 17:30 at
Iziko South African Museum.
