The glass collection includes items bearing the monogram of the Dutch
East India Company (VOC), and the Rosa van Gelderen Collection, a
small but representative collection depicting English Victorian glass.
In the bottle collection is an empty bottle of Constantia Pontac,
dating from 1791. A few works created by Shirley Cloete, Gary Thompson
and David Reade, reflect the South African Glass Movement.
Examples from the glass collection can be found in most of the Social
History sites. There are also items in storage. |
