Amphora, Red-Line Painter, Athens, c. 500 BCE

Two dancing maenads wearing dresses with red and white dots. There are vine branches in the field; on the neck of the vase is a debased ivy frieze, and there are plain tongues above the figures, and rays at the base. Below these is a red band. The foot is restored.
