Called Flame, it is on a marble stand. Unlike his small objects, large
objects are engraved with his name and the year of their design. The mountainous environment in which Reade lives inspired his glass
sculptures and they are a play of form colour and light. Natural light
enhances form and because glass sculptures can express all these
qualities, Reade designed fourteen sculptures which were exhibited at
an art gallery in Cape Town during 1990-91. (SACHM91/154)
