Rory Emmett is the Art Educator at Iziko Museums of South Africa. His primary role is to develop resources and implement art educational programmes that expand on school curriculum content and relate strongly to exhibitions and collections at the Iziko South African National Gallery (ISANG). Emmett hopes to cultivate learners’ interests and appreciation for historical and contemporary art. He believes in the transformative potential of art, not only as a means of human expression, but as a way of seeing from different perspectives.
