Launching on Thursday, 4 February 2021, Art Club at Iziko is a series of downloadable activities aimed at guiding learners, parents and teachers through weekly art-making sessions.
Requiring simple art-making and/or recycled materials, Iziko Art Club activities are suitable for children with any level of exposure and ability in art – and will be available, every Thursday of the school term, for download via the Iziko website and social media pages.
While Iziko Museums hope to host these activities in person to local schools one day – for now, Iziko Art Club will exist solely online, and will assist parents and teachers alike in providing some fun and creative education for learners during an already disrupted school year.
Visit Here to join Art Club at Iziko! For more information, contact Senior Art Educator Yentl Kohler at ykohler@iziko.org.za.
Iziko Art Club was created by Yentl Kohler and 2020 CATHSSETA Intern, Siyanda Tombela.
Throughout this uncertain period, Iziko has been online and working to showcase our unique work and collections on the website. Visit www.iziko.org.za to explore all that we have on offer, and make sure to like, follow and share our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok!
