Founded in 1825, ISAM has amassed vast multi-disciplinary collections comprising of more than 10 million objects while inspiring generations of South Africans and international visitors alike.

We invite South Africans and our visitors to participate in these activities, share their ideas and experiences with us. We are very grateful for the annual grant that the museum receives from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, our partners and corporates who have invested their resources to Iziko Museums. These resources have immensely contributed to the preservation and promotion of our rich heritage” concludes Mr Sithole.
