The Iziko South African Museum’s |Qe Power of Rock Art Gallery and Talking Heads exhibition are temporarily closed for essential structural renovations.
This closure, from 3 October to 13 December 2024, is necessary to ensure the health and safety of both visitors and staff.
Once the renovations are complete, the exhibits will reopen, allowing you to experience the incredible rock art and other historical objects once again.
These renovations mark the first phase of a larger upgrade planned over the next two years.
As part of this process, Iziko Museums will also be hosting a consultative community event in Cape Town to engage stakeholders
in the development of potential new content for the exhibition.
