Iziko Museums of South Africa, in partnership with Deen Arts Foundation South Africa, invites you to join a three-day calligraphy workshop during Heritage Week.
Day 1 – Arabic Calligraphy in Chinese Style
A unique fusion of cultures! The Arabic Calligraphy in Chinese Style (ACCS) script blends Arabic script with Chinese techniques—uniting two sacred visual arts into one graceful style.
Day 2 – Maghrebi Calligraphy Script
Flowing and bold, the Maghrebi Calligraphy Script emerged in North Africa in the 13th century with sweeping curves and wide letters, making Qur’anic texts both beautiful and easy to read.
