VISIT NATIONAL SEA RESCUE INSTITUTE (NSRI) STATION 10 IN ST GEORGE’S WAY, SIMONSTOWN

THURSDAY 23 MARCH 10:30-12:00

Join the Friends on a tour of the new NSRI base in Simonstown and to view their boat – one of their newest offshore rescue craft. This is a unique opportunity to visit an NSRI base and to hear about the work of this organisation.

The NSRI is a charity volunteer rescue organisation that is on call 24/7. Their mission is to save lives on South African waters. But they are more than a rescue service. They educate communities, strive to innovate (Pink Rescue Buoy programme) and constantly evolve and extend the water safety initiatives through empowerment and visibility(survival swimming and lifeguard programmes).

After the tour you may wish to have lunch at some of the nearby restaurants.
