Ms Joni Augustine was appointed as the new Director of Human Resources at Iziko Museums of South Africa from 01 May 2026. Ms Augustine joins the Iziko leadership team at a pivotal time, bringing extensive expertise to the institution. Her appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in organisational leadership.
Ms Augustine has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Organisational Development across healthcare, retail, construction and fintech. She has a strong background in labour relations, change management, employment equity, talent management and employee relations. Her diverse sector experience complements the public-sector expertise within our executive leadership team.
Throughout her career, Ms Augustine has successfully led strategic HR initiatives, supported organisational transformation processes, and built strong collaborative relationships. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Cape Town and is also a certified Change Management Practitioner. We are confident that her people-centred approach will be a valuable asset to Iziko as we continue to strengthen our organisational culture.
